Lucas and Moore wrote the script for the surprise comedy hit “The Hangover,” which pulled off an unexpected box-office success that it resulted to two sequels. With the duo behind the upcoming movie featuring Kunis, Applegate, and Bell, many believe that they will duplicate their feat on “The Hangover” because the upcoming film is almost like its female version, in terms of fun and comedy delivery.
The movie project used to be called as “Bad Moms” and it would have starred Leslie Mann and to be produced by Judd Apatow for Paramount Pictures.
But it did not push through as Mann and Apatow eventually left and abandon the plan. Sensing the potential of the plot, STX Entertainment stepped in and decided to pick up the project with Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate and Kristen Bell taking the lead role that was previously meant for Leslie Mann.
However, STX Entertainment decided to do away with the “Bad Moms” movie title. The production company has yet to come up with a new title for the movie, but the overall plot would remain the same.
Mila Kunis is expected to play the role of the overachieving mother with a seemingly perfect life who is very close from cracking. Realizing that she has had enough of her seemingly boring life, she decided to join two other overstressed mothers, and they went on a quest to liberate themselves from their conventional responsibilities.
