Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Close to Being Revealed!

Even though Apple are still the undeniable leader in the market for tablets, Microsoft have been improving their position quite a lot lately, and they have been reportedly gearing up for yet another release of a tablet device to compete with the iPad, and to gain some new positions on the tablet market. The new device will be a successor to the Surface Pro 3, and is alleged to be close to an official public announcement.

The rumors are coming close after Microsoft denied allegations that they will be discontinuing their Surface Pro line of tablets. According to an official statement by the company, no such plans are currently in place, and customers should feel safe to invest in a Surface Pro tablet.

The new Surface Pro 4 will be offered in two versions, 13” and 14”, which would be an increase from the previous offerings from the company. This has not been confirmed yet, although Microsoft have stated before that they have an interest in releasing larger tablets with more screen real estate. Other than the larger screen however, the new tablets will reportedly be quite similar in their design to the Surface Pro 3, as the company isn’t planning on making any drastic changes to a model that already works. Additionally, there are reports that the tablet will be released with Windows 10 from the beginning. This will be a bit unusual, however, as the operating system isn’t planned to come out for at least another year. It could mean that the tablet will come equipped with a mobile version of it, however.

Microsoft are also looking into developing a brand with good long-term value, as they have announced that accessories released for the current Surface Pro models will be compatible with the next devices released in the line. Obviously, the company will release new accessories with the new model of the tablet as well, and if those introduce any serious hardware improvements, they might be worth buying. Otherwise, users may want to stick with their current accessories.

Surface Pro 3

The Surface Pro tablets have been commended for offering a good balance between productivity and price, and with Microsoft’s established tools for office work, they are a great offer for both regular end users as well as business buyers. The company has been putting a lot of effort into bridging the gap between the two markets, and the current state of the Windows operating system is somewhat indicative of that. It would be interesting to see what they decide to do with the Surface Pro 4, as some of the rumors about it have been pointing out a potential low price point, as an attempt to get a more solid position on the market.
