Micromax is turning out to be a major player in the mid-range smartphone category. Their latest creation, the Canvas Knight A350, is turning heads. However, is it enough to challenge the flagship-killing OnePlus One? Here is a detailed analysis of the two.
Micromax Canvas Knight A350:
This smartphone features a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen sporting 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution with 16M color definition and 441ppi pixel density. It features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for advanced protection.
The Canvas Knight A350 features 32 GB of built-in storage but is not expandable. It features 2 GB of RAM and has Bluetooth v4.0 A2DP and microUSB v2.0. The device runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat and features a Mediatek chipset with a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core Cortex A7 processor along with Mali 450MP4 GPU.
The smartphone draws power from a non-removable Li-Ion 2,350 mAh battery and has a 16 MP primary camera sporting 3,456 x 4,608 pixel resolution with LED flash, autofocus and additional features such as Geo-tagging, face detection and touch focus. It is capable of filming 1,080p videos at 30fps. The smartphone further boasts of an 8 MP secondary camera.
OnePlus One:
Much has been said about the OnePlus One already, but no matter what is said about the device, statements are insufficient to describe its optimum potential. The smartphone measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams.
The device features a 5.5-inch LTPS LCD capacitive touchscreen sporting 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution, 16 M color definition and 401ppi pixel density. The device features ten-finger multi-touch input and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for advanced protection along with CyanogenMod 11S.
The OnePlus One is available in 16 and 64 GB variants, which are available with 3 GB of RAM. This smartphone does not feature expandable storage. Additional features include microUSB v2.0, USB Host and USB on the go.
The smartphone runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat, which is upgradable to Android v4.4.4 KitKat. It draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330 GPU.
The OnePlus One features a non-removable 3,100 mAh Li-Po battery along with a 13 MP primary camera sporting 4,128 x 3,096 pixel resolution, dual-LED flash and autofocus. Additional features include face detection, panorama, HDR, touch focus and Geo-tagging. The primary camera is capable of filming 2,160p videos at 30 fps, 1,080p videos at 60 fps and 720p videos at 120 fps. The device also features a 5 MP secondary camera.
