Michael Schumacher Reportedly in Wheelchair and Unable to Speak, May Never Regain Motor Functions!

Reports about the condition of Michael Schumacher have been sketchy and for the most part unconfirmed, and the racer’s family has been understandably quiet about the ongoing issues with his health. However, recent reports indicate that the situation might be worse than the public fears – while it’s been suspected for a while that Schumacher’s condition is serious and he has been affected by the crash badly, there are now claims that he’s currently bound to a wheelchair.

According to reports, Michael Schumacher is also unable to speak, and most of his body is currently paralyzed. His memory has been affected by his condition, and various of his body’s motor functions are severely impaired. These reports are coming from Philippe Streiff, a fellow racing star who recently paid a visit to Schumacher to check on him during his recovery.

Experts in the medical field are claiming that the situation is actually even worse than that, however – if the reports are true, then Schumacher may realistically never walk again, and he may not even regain many of his motor functions. This is a grim prognosis, but the crash that he suffered was quite a serious one, and left him in a bad condition – and lately, nobody has been very optimistic in their prognoses about the racer’s future.

In Germany, the ongoing event has also been the cause of some controversy, as certain less than scrupulous German media editions have attempted to capitalize on the tragedy by publishing false accounts of the incident, including pictures taken out of context. “Die Aktuelle” has recently come under fire for publishing a photo of Schumacher in which he’s relaxing under the sun, with the implication that it was a recent photograph.

Schumacher was badly hurt when he fell during a skiing trip with his son in December last year. Upon falling down, he hit his head and subsequently had to be put in a medically induced coma during his ongoing treatment. Initial reports claimed that a camera attached to his helmet was the main cause of his injuries, but those were disputed widely, and in the middle of the scandal, GoPro threatened a journalist with a lawsuit for false allegations about their products’ safety.

Nearly a year after the incident, the racer’s condition is still very poor and reports remain mixed. While at this stage it’s clear that he will never sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 again, his family and fans have been hopeful that fate will at least allow the racer to live the rest of his life without too much pain and suffering, but only time will tell.
