Michael Schumacher Recovery Is A Very Slow One!

For many years, Michael Schumacher was able to defy the odds while driving in races at 100+ miles per hour leading him to 7 Formula One racing championships. Now the decorated racer is fighting for his life after a tragic ski accident that has left him paralyzed. The accident happened more than one year ago and even though the athlete is lucky to be alive, the road to a full recovery is going to be a very long one.

For the last few months, the reports about Michael Schumacher’s condition were few and far between, but according to one online source that claims to have “reliable and verified information”, he is making a “very slow recovery”. According to that same source, Michael Schumacher is not stuck in a bed, however, he is able to be sat in a chair while looking out the windows at his villa. That is when he is not going through physical therapy to avoid atrophy to his muscles.

Even though Michael Schumacher has been retired for a little while now, he was not planning to have a inactive retirement. In fact, one article posted online says that he has become a “prisoner of an immobile body”. The accident that put Michael Schumacher in this condition happened back in December of 2013, when the race car champion fell and smashed his head on rock while skiing in France. He suffered what doctors are calling a “traumatic brain injury”, even though he was wearing a safety helmet.

For the next six months he would be in a coma, only to finally wake up in June of last year. From that point, he was moved to his home to receive continued rehabilitation. Apparently, doctors have noticed he is responding to external stimuli, but is not able to speak or move in any way. The one action that has been reported is that Michael Schumacher can show “emotions through tears”.
