It’s starting to seem like Mia Khalifa is better known for her controversial situations rather than her actual work, but in the end different people try to maintain their fame in different ways, and this is a pretty common tactic employed by many celebrities. For what it’s worth, it’s true that her name gets mentioned in the press quite a lot lately, in the context of all sorts of different incidents, and we rarely go a week without hearing something new about her.
Most recently, she has joined in the controversy regarding Lamar Odom, claiming that people should quit attacking the player over his recent controversial incident, and that people should stop enjoying the situation like it’s some kind of parade. She retweeted a tweet by a user saying that Lamar Odom was already well known long before his involvement with the Kardashians, with regards to the fact that many people describe him as “Khloe Kardashian’s husband” instead of using his real name.
Odom was recently found unconscious in a brothel, after he had allegedly taken several tablets of Viagra that ended up affecting him badly. The player is currently in a coma and we don’t know what’s going to happen with him in the future, but the prognosis is at best questionable. Many of his old-school fans have expressed their support and best wishes for the player, but updates from his bedside have been scarce and rare.
Meanwhile, a lot has been happening on the social media front as people have been discussing the incident left and right, but as we said above, they frequently referred to Odom as the husband of a Kardashian and disregarded his name. Something which not only Mia Khalifa has described as disrespectful, and it’s definitely true that it’s not very polite to describe a person through their marriage to a celebrity.
On the other hand, some have been making fun of Mia Khalifa for her statement, as she seemed to be making jabs at the Kardashians for their TV show. Despite the fact that Khalifa seems to share a view that the show was never popular, ratings clearly showed otherwise, and many people following the situation have been asking why she had such a stance in the first place.
The answer could be easy to figure out though, looking at the star’s recent popularity. Her rise to fame was a quick one, but so has been her recent downfall as she has been involved in fewer productions on average. Meanwhile, her popularity is quickly getting overshadowed by other prominent names in the industry, including some who have been there before her, much to the surprise of some of her fans. But of course, when a person bases a large part of their fame on making controversial statements and attacking other people, not much good can happen in the long run and in the end they are stuck with a toxic fan base who want to see even more drama and don’t care about the person’s actual work.
Some have been jokingly pointing out her Amazon wishlist which includes items like salt, asking how well she is doing with her financial status right now. While we have no idea what Khalifa’s situation is at the moment, it does seem weird that she would be asking for things that cost a few dollars, instead of buying them for herself. Expensive gifts are understandable, but this has raised some eyebrows.
