Mia Khalifa is being chided by her critics on social media for her usually tough-talking tongue when she slammed Facebook last month for suggesting to its users to embed their profile pictures with the colors of the French flag to show their support to the people of France.
One day after the coordinated militant assaults on November 13 in Paris, France resulting to the death of 129 people and injuring of 352 more, social media site Facebook has suggested to its users to change their profile pictures by draping them with the national flag of France.
The original profile picture will not disappear once the Facebook users opt to take the suggestion of the social media site. It will just come off as a watermark that will blend with the red, white, and blue colors of the French flag.
While many of the Facebook users immediately took the suggestion of the social media site in to show their support to the people of France, it seems like adult film star Mia Khalifa does not buy the reasoning and logic behind the social media initiative.
The most searched porn star on Pornhub took to Twitter to say that people should be more sensitive about the situation. The Lebanese-American sarcastically remarked on her tweet that there is nothing that says ‘Prayers for Paris’ quite like a narcissistic selfie with a flag over it, reports the International Business Times of UK.
Not in favor
Critics believe that Khalifa may be right with her opinion on the issue but her own Twitter and Facebook accounts contain numerous selfies and many consider it as narcissistic too.
It can be recalled that she has also courted controversy when she wore the traditional Muslim religious head scarf known as a hijab while performing explicit acts in several adult videos online. She claimed however that it was not an assault on the Muslims but were done for art’s sake.
She did not offer an opinion though on the ISIS-connected suicide bombings in her own home city of Beirut, which took place the day before the Paris attacks and killed 44 people.
One very sarcastic commenter actually responded to Khalifa’s Twitter post by saying that nothing says contributor like someone making a living out of porn but likes to judge others.
An adult entertainer
Because of her tough-talking opinions, Mia Khalifa has generated a lot of raves on social media, which is in addition to her becoming one of the most, if not the most popular porn star in the world today though she would prefer being called as an adult entertainer.
Khalifa was born in Beirut, Lebanon, but she and her family migrated to the US in 2000 where they settled in Montgomery County in Maryland.
As a teenager, she attended Northwest high school. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Lone-Star State at urban center. She presently resides in Miami, Florida, details Filmy Info.
Although she was born in Lebanon, she is now an American citizen and she actually showed her American side on November 22 when she posted on Twitter a vintage photo of former US president John F. Kennedy enjoying an ice cream on a sunny day.
Mia then captioned her tweet by saying that it is the day when Americans remember, and then putting rest in peace, JFK.
Indicative of how good her tweet was, within a matter of minutes, her message has been retweeted and liked by her followers hundreds of times.
Kennedy is the 35th President of the US and he was shot dead on November 22, 1963 as his motorcade passed through the streets of Dallas, Texas during his campaign ahead of the 1964 presidential elections.
