‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’ Likely to Get Positive First Reviews Ahead of Game’s Launch!

The fifth and final installment of the open-world action adventure stealth video game to the “Metal Gear Solid” franchise officially titled “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” shall be officially released to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC on September 1.

However, one week ahead of its launch, game developer Konami Productions has set a live broadcast of its first reviews from London on August 24 as gamers and critics play the game.

Fans and gamers who have been anxiously anticipating “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” will get a first-hand access to the initial thoughts of gamers and critics who will play the game, notes Videogamer.com.

One month and one week after the launch of “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” on the gaming consoles, the multiplayer mode “Metal Gear Online” will also be launched on the same gaming platforms on October 6.

Cross-promotions for the game

Meanwhile, as part of an effort to cross-promote the game, Japanese gaming and entertainment company Sony will be offering the “Metal Gear Solid 5” branded tablets and smartphones as well as its walkmans.

According to VG 24/7, the limited edition Sony Walkman ZX series NW-ZX2 shall feature the Outer Heaven logo at the back, and will come with 128GB of storage, as well as a booklet, a leather case featuring the Outer Heaven, 10 tracks from “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain,” several sound effects, and four wallpapers.

The walkman will be retailed for $1,128 which is actually the standard price for the model, which means that there will be no additional price add-on despite its added theme.

Many gadget enthusiasts, however, will find the price of the walkman too prohibitive despite its features and specifications because with the same amount of money, one can already acquire a flagship smartphone or a tablet that can also play music very well.

There will also be two “Metal Gear Solid 5” tablets that are being offered on retail along with a J1 compact phone that shall feature the video game theme on it.

More freedom to gamers

Konami has released a gameplay trailer of “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 held in June

After the E3 2015 event, Konami unveiled a new gameplay demo early in July to further drumbeat gamer interest on the widely-anticipated video game.

However, unlike the gameplay trailer that was shown at E3 2015, the gameplay demo featured a different method of approach, which according to game creator Hideo Kojima, will rely on freedom of infiltration.

Kojima has been very busy tweeting about the new gameplay demo hinting that it will come out at the time of the celebration of the Tanabata in Japan. Tanabata is the festival of stars in the Land of the Rising Sun and it is normally celebrated on July 7th.

The creator disclosed that he used the technology and concept of open world for a free infiltration game like “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.” He said that gamers will surely enjoy the freedom of operation, sneaking or stealth, and escape on the new gameplay demo, adding that the time and route of infiltration, as well as the strategy, are critically important factors.

Kojima detailed that the gameplay demo showcased during E3 2015 highlighted free roam and had the player entering the mission from the northwest. He then sneaks into the hot zone on the D-Walker and escaped by helicopter.
