BioWare has confirmed that the game will be coming out 100% next year but it since it wants “Mass Effect 4” to be the best game it can be, it would obviously need more time to fine-tune the game so a December 2016 release or a few months before appears plausible.
However, as BioWare, or game publisher Electronic Arts, has yet to come out with an official statement or announcement regarding the release date of “Mass Effect: Andromeda,” every information going around the internet should be taken with a fine grain of salt.
“Mass Effect: Andromeda” was first revealed during EA’s press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 in June this year through a trailer.
It was subsequently uploaded to the Mass Effect YouTube channel on the same day. Eventually, a teaser trailer of the game was uploaded to the channel on the “Mass Effect Day” on November 7.
The third-person shooter video game is being developed using DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine. BioWare said that they wanted to start with a foundation composed of the best parts of any “Mass Effect” game including exciting new worlds to discover, great characters, and intense action.
The developer added that they clearly wanted to expand the definition of what players should expect from a “Mass Effect” game.
One of my favorite things about Mass effect was that each game could be completed in about 40 hours. I, as well as a lot of adult gamers, don’t want massive 200 hour games. We just don’t have that much extra time. Please, Bioware, don’t go overboard trying to make everything bigger! I can assure you bigger is not always better.
A lot of people do love games that take hundreds of hours though. I think a happy medium can be reached.
Agreed. I hope they don’t make it over bloated like DAI is. I cannot make myself play it again as it takes so long and so many side quests!
