Because of this, fans are somewhat anxious about how the story of “Mass Effect 4” is going to be like, and they probably have some right to feel like that too. The franchise is easily one of the most iconic ones in the history of gaming, and it’s a very important name that enjoys a lot of attention from its fans.
And this means that people will look at the next installment under a microscope and dissect it very thoroughly for any issues that it might have in its gameplay. BioWare can expect that they will have a lot to live up to, and hopefully the studio will approach the task with due responsibility.
From what we’ve seen so far, they seem to be handling it very well though, and there is some obvious sentiment of responsibility from BioWare that speaks volumes about the studio’s engagement for this release.
If they play their cards right, we could easily see “Mass Effect 4” becoming a very successful title and reclaiming the glory of the original franchise. Otherwise, this could be the last nail in the coffin of the “Mass Effect” name, but hopefully we aren’t going to see things moving in this direction at all and things are going to normalize.
