We don’t have a lot to say about Mass Effect 4, but we are now sure that the game will be massive. Recently, Chris Wynn the Senior Development Director at BioWare stated that he was trying to transfer the entire Mass Effect 4 build to his PC and Windows declared that it was going to take a day! He declared this on Twitter and joke or no joke; it indicates the vast nature of this upcoming title.
The bigger, the better, that’s all we can hope for now. However, gamers are now aware regarding what to be done with this information. Video games are quite large during the production process and before they are properly optimized. This could all be a natural part of the development process, specifically with a game to run on the next-generation console hardware and gaming rigs. It is not uncommon for a title designed for the Xbox One and the PS4 to be around or exceed 50 gigabytes of storage space.
All of this indicates a massive increase in development as the last-generation games were only of a few gigabytes. Fans are incredibly excited for Mass Effect 4 as it will be a whole new chapter in the life of this series. It is widely known that Commander Shepherd may not play a part in this game. However, recent talks are suggesting otherwise. BioWare has already declared that Shepherd will not be a part of this game at all.
However, if the company wishes, gamers could get a chance to see their favorite Mass-Effect character in BioWare’s upcoming fourth installation in this series. A report from Gameranx suggested the possibility of Commander Shepherd appearing for one last time. Considering the past statements from BioWare, it was suggested that players will get to see some of the companions of Commander Shepherd. It raises the question as to why not Commander Shepherd himself?!
If he does return, it won’t be the first time we get to see a previous protagonist appearing in a newer title. We already witnessed this in Dragon Age: Inquisition with the return of Hawke, the protagonist for their earlier game, Dragon Age 2. Gamers were massively disappointed with the ending of Mass Effect 3. As a result, it’s a possibility that Shepherd might make a small comeback for gamers to bid their official farewell. Even if he doesn’t come back, we are dead sure that he will never go unmentioned for Mass Effect 4.
All we know that an intricately detailed story with an emphasis on character relationships is what sets Mass Effect apart from other 3rd-person shooters. BioWare recently stated that they are currently starting their work on Mass Effect 4. As a result, it could be a few years before we experience this title.

Mass Effect is the sci-fi RPG equivalent of the Titanic: gorgeous, awe-inspiring, top-of-the-line, absolutely perfect in every way… until it hit the iceberg that was the ending of Mass Effect 3, and tragically sank all that splendor to the bottom of the ocean.
Whatever comes next, Mass Effect 3 taught gamers to be forever wary of the final ten minutes of any further entries in the Mass Effect franchise.
Gamers invested in this series aren’t even a united front. We were all violently selfish in how we wanted to see the story line progress. Worrying about this now is silly. Let the writers write.
