During the ComicCon 2015 in San Diego, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada revealed that the costume that they are working on for Spider-Man in the Marvel cinematic universe is so awesome that it will surely blow people away.
The Marvel official added that he has seen a lot of the design work that’s been done on the costume and he can really attest that there are elements in the costume that are really going to make people say that it’s awesome.
Quesada said that eventually fans will quip in unison ‘Ah, that’s Marvel doing Spider-Man!’ If there is one person who can speak with authority on Spider-Man and his costume, it’s no other than Joe Quesada. He contributed heavily to Spider-Man in comic books over the years, taking on the role of editor, artist and sometimes as a writer too.
The Marvel reboot of “Spider-Man” will be shown on July 28, 2017, yet but the new costume will already make its debut when the web-clinging superhero makes his first-time appearance in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” to be released to worldwide theaters on May 6, 2016.
Leak or early reveal?
The much-talked about new costume of Spider-Man may have been given a preview on social media when a Twitter account, which purportedly belongs to Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” posted some perplexing photos.
One those photos might have just offered a glimpse of the new Spider-Man costume, according to Slash Film.
While some are claiming that the Twitter account is merely a decoy, there’s rather some compelling evidence that supports the possibility that some of its tweets are actually a legitimate tease of things from the set of the “Captain America: Civil War” currently filming.
The Twitter account follows all the right people from Marvel franchise stars to cast members of Marvel movies, but it’s the people who follow the account that lends credence to the authenticity of the social media account.
The account counts some followers including Jason Stamey, who worked in casting on nearly all of the Marvel movies, Ryan Stankevich, the vice president of global marketing for Disney, and Andrew Stamm, a directors and producers assistant currently working on “Captain America: Civil War.” And there are others who follow the account which strengthen the notion that it is not a decoy.
New Spider-Man suit
The Twitter account has posted multiple images claiming to be teasers from the set of the movie. The images include a glance of what appears to be the ‘Sokovia Accords,’ the laws put into place to govern superheroes that seemingly replaces the Superhero Registration Act from the Civil War comic storyline, as well as two images of parts of the new Spider-Man suit, details io9.
The first image looks some kind of lens or google that contains a shutter on it. It is possible that Spider-Man’s new costume allows the wall-climbing superhero to squint his eyes or even go wide for certain expressions. That is the case on the comics, but it seems that it will finally materialize on the big screen too.
The second photo, on the other hand, is definitely the texture of a superhero suit with red and black colors, which are the colors of the original Spider-Man suit created by Steve Ditko, the same one that has web flaps in the underarms. It’s also the same suit worn by Miles Morales in the comic books.
As Spider-Man went from the Sony to the Marvel stable, it was also understood that Marvel will be doing a reboot of the film franchise and thus a new set of actors will be cast in the film.

This new Spider-Man costume better not look cheesy. It better look cool and blow our minds.
This eye’s on his costume better not squint. It will look extremely stupid in a live-action film.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that Spider-Man’s eyes widening will extremely stupid too. Please Marvel don’t turn the new live action Spider-Man into a cartoon character.
