Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has started slipping TRP again. The show’s second episode this season, titled Heavy is the Head, managed to secure the least amount of TRP since the series went live last year.
The issues faced by the first season are back to haunt the makers in the second season as well as the team tries to garner support from every corner of the fan base. Even though, the plot is as brisk as possible, the fans are just not interested to view what the makers have in store, and this can never be good news for the creators and producers of the show.
According to a statistical report gathered by Fast National Ratings, Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D recorded 4.54 Million views for the second episode, although, it was insufficient to garner 1.7 key demo rating points.
The premiere episode of season one managed to record 12 Million views back in 2013. Hence, it is difficult to cope up to the fact that season two is recording such dismal figures. If the current situation persists, the makers might have to ditch all plans to return with season three.
Marvel is recording phenomenal success across every Box Office release and could hence decide to quit funding the TV Series. The first season was not as successful as the makers might have liked it to be and hence this decision seems likely at the moment. This would be a profitable option considering the present condition. However, it would also mean disappointing a certain section of loyalists who are waiting intently for the current season to unfold.
The makers have introduced 15 new characters to the current season in a bid to make things more interesting for the viewers and to give the current plot a much needed twist, whether this plan actually works, only time can tell.
It will be interesting to see what Marvel has in store for us. Additional spoilers and rumors are expected within the next few weeks as the storyline progresses. Hence, keep visiting this section for the latest information on Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
