In any case, we’re still going to see Michael Bay working on “Transformers 5” as an executive producer, overseeing the high-level work on the film. So in some sense we’re still going to see his contribution to the production, but it will not be the same as having him direct the film as well.
The film is currently set for release in 2017, so a lot can happen in its production in the meantime. And with so much attention on it, it would be quite hard for the Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the team to keep any exciting bits secret for too long.
So hopefully, we’re going to get some more positive news soon as work on the production picks up. There should definitely be some developments once the script is finished and submitted to Michael Bay for review, and hopefully we’re going to get good news then.
