Mark Wahlberg Expects to Convince Director Michael Bay to Step in Again for ‘Transformers 5’

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” was released in 2014 and it is the fourth installment of the film. Mark Wahlberg replaced Shia Labeouf in the lead role while Peter Cullen reprised his role as the Optimus Prime.

Upon its release, critics were quick to send out their thoughts about the movie. It got an overall overage of 18 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and it got several other bashings. The movie even got seven nominations from the 35th Golden Raspberry Awards including Worst Prequel, Worst Picture, Worst Remake, Worst Rip-off or Sequel while director Michael Bay won the awards for Worst Director.

Kelsey Grammer also won for the Worst Supporting Actor. Despite the poor reviews, the film still got a total of $1.104 billion in the box office worldwide.
