Mariah Carey is reportedly suffering from divorce remorse and wants to get back with her ex-husband Nick Cannon.
While the 44-year-old singer would like to show the public that she is giving her former husband a second chance so that they can give their marriage another shot, it is very clear that she’s the one longing for Nick and wants him to take her offer of reconciliation.
The former couple split in May 2014 after six years of marriage following reported infidelity of Nick Cannon. Mariah reportedly filed for divorce on August 2014. Their six years of marriage resulted to the birth of their twins Moroccan and Monroe, who are now three years old.
The “We Belong Together” singer is reportedly very lonely and wants to get Nick Cannon back in her life and that of their twins, reports Life & Style Weekly.
Splurging to win back Nick
The site also reported that Mariah recently went on a shopping splurge amounting to $25,000 and that much of the items were presents for Nick in an attempt to woo him back to her life.
The divorce is said to be close to being finalized. All of a sudden, Mariah somehow felt divorce remorse and has since been trying to pull all stops on the divorce. Mariah has reportedly been telling her 34-year-old former husband that she wants things to go back how they used to be.
Sources close to Mariah said that the singer realized how good her ex-husband was and that she was wrong for getting in the way of his budding celebrity career,
Mariah is also reportedly feeling overwhelmed as a single parent and she now appreciates how Nick was a hands-on father to their three-year-old twins when they were still living together.
Aside from hosting America’s Got Talent, Nick Cannon is also an actor, a comedian, a rapper, an entrepreneur, a record producer, as well as radio and TV personality.
Not interested in getting back
Nick Cannon is reportedly not interested in getting back with Mariah. After moving out of their house, Nick has said to have gotten the freedom he long wanted but was not able to get when he was still married to the singer.
He has been linked to various women including Amber Rose, whom according to rumors he impregnated but later turned out to be false, singer Kreesha Turner, among a few others.
Nick is not likely to bite Mariah’s offer. A source close to the actor-rapper said that Nick has had enough of Mariah. He put up with her mood swings, outburst and demands than any guy could ever handle when they were still married. Now that Nick has tasted freedom, there is no way that he’s going back to his life with Mariah.
As a proof of Nick’s disinterest to getting back with Mariah, TMZ also reported that he quietly filed for divorce on December 12, 2014, just days after the singer talked to her lawyers to detach Nick from her upcoming lucrative deal in Las Vegas.
It’s not clear how Nick filed a separate divorce petition in December when Mariah already did last August.
