Manny Pacquiao Confirmed to Fight Former Brisbane School Teacher in Australia in April!

In a recent interview, Horn said that he believes that he has what it takes to pull off an upset win over Pacquiao. He explained that in the Pacman’s last few fights, Horn said that he had seen some of the Filipino boxer’s weaknesses and he thinks he can exploit those for his advantage.

He also said that Pacquiao is a smaller guy and he has not stopped a welterweight fighter for some time now and he thinks that his style is going to spell trouble for the Pacman.

Pacquaio now totes a 59-6-2 win-loss-draw record but has not knocked out an opponent since Miguel Cotto back in 2009.

Meanwhile, in a recent statement, Bob Arum said that he wants the fight between Pacquiao and Horn to take place at an outdoor stadium in Australia and that he wants it to be beamed into 159 different countries, including the US, where it would be shown in a primetime Saturday night timeslot on free-to-air TV.

He said that he expects around 3,000 to 4,000 Filipinos to fly from the Philippines for the fight Down Under, which he believes could be the biggest boxing fight in Australian history.

Many Australian officials say that it will be a tragedy if the fight happened anywhere other than in Brisbane and they hope that the Queensland government feels the same way. They believe that the bout could really reinvigorate boxing in Australia.

Update: The rematch with Jeff Horn is imminent.
