It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen something like this though, and while of course it doesn’t have to end up badly for the production, the people behind it should still keep in mind that one of the main drawing factors of their work is the huge legacy they’re sitting on.
If they take that away, fans might suddenly find themselves far less willing to check out “Man of Steel 2” when it comes out, and that would be a pretty major blow to the popularity of the film as a whole.
After all, even though “Man of Steel” managed to bring many new people to the “Superman” franchise and presented the character in a fresh new light, the producers should not disregard the power of their core fans when drawing the bottom line.
We’ve already seen other studios failing exactly because of this reason, and it would be a shame to see an idea as fresh as “Man of Steel” to get ruined because of a mistake like that. But it’s far too early to make dramatic predictions like that – for now, fans should keep an eye out for any official information about the film. We expect that the producers are going to reveal at least some details in the next few months, perhaps even by the end of this year if fans are lucky enough.
