Could we see Supergirl in the new film as well? This is another rumor that gets brought up quite often, but we are not sure about its legitimacy right now.
While one would expect most fans to be happy with that proposal, it doesn’t seem like everyone is so excited by it. In particular, those who were hoping to see more of Superman’s own character are apparently not very fond of the idea of the producers splitting their attention between him and Supergirl.
Of course, it’s possible that if she does end up in the film, her role would be a smaller one than Superman himself, and she won’t steal any of his spotlight. The producers aren’t stupid after all, and they know why most people would watch this film in the first place.
But on the other hand, there’s always the chance that they might have decided to spice things up, and make the film more suitable for a wider audience, in which case introducing a new female lead could be the first solution they jump to. Let’s hope that they are more sensible than that, and aren’t going to make any harsh decisions. As we said above, there is plenty of time to go until the film comes out, so we’ll hopefully get some more concrete updates along the way.
