Critics are saying, however, that today’s blockbusters happen to spend a lot of money or investments in production and if Warner Bros is serious about wanting to see “Man of Steel 2” earn money at the box-office, it has to be willing to spend for the investment, no matter how costly it can be.
The bottom line is also in math. So if a big-budgeted movie becomes a blockbuster and earns a handsome profit, there should be no reason to doubt that a sequel will do the same if not fare better.
While Warner Bros has not officially said anything about the release date for “Man of Steel 2,” the consensus of the speculations is that it could come out sometime in 2019.
At the moment, Warner Bros is busy working on the production of “Wonder Woman” which is slated to hit theaters on June 2, 2017. Subsequently, the three DCEU movies will follow including “Justice League” on November 17, 2017, “The Flash” on March 16, 2018, and “Aquaman” on July 27, 2018.
Although, plot details have not been shared as yet for “Man of Steel 2,” it is quite possible that a resurrected Superman will fight against evil in the second installment.
It could be recalled that Superman was also the central superhero figure in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” even though he ‘died’ at the end of the film.
