It could be that most of the members of the development team of the basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K15” are die-hard fans of LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers and they just showed their true colors with a major glitch in the game by declaring the Cavs as the 2014-15 NBA champions!
It’s not even a prediction, it is a story that seems to say that the Cavaliers already won the NBA Finals in Game 3, which no other NBA team in history has able to do and that is why it is an obvious game glitch.
Everyone knows that in reality the NBA Finals series is tied at 2-2 after the Golden State Warriors dismantled the Cleveland Cavaliers’ offense with a convincing 103-82 victory on June 12 in Game 4 and the earliest that an NBA champion can be declared is on June 16, assuming either the Cavs or the Warriors win both Game 5 and 6 back-to-back.
Congratulating the champions
The “NBA 2K15” glitch appears in the ‘NBA Today’ section of the video game where it shows a picture congratulating the Cavaliers for winning the title with a time stamp of June 10, 2015. June 10 was when Game 3 of the NBA Finals was played where Cleveland won over Golden State in a grinding defensive game 96-91.
The picture shows James driving to the hoop and overnight Cavs point guard sensation Matthew Dellavedova dribbling up court.
The same section of the game also indicated the scores for Game 1, which was won by Golden State but uncharacteristically, Game 2 was nowhere to be found.
If the development team recorded the Game 1 victory of the Warriors, then there’s no way that the Cavaliers can be champion by Game 3 on June 10. Perhaps, the idea of the developers is to merely congratulate the Cavs for winning Game 3 but the overeager LeBron James fanatic in them showed to directly state that Cleveland already won the NBA title.
Despite the goof up, gamers are still hook on the game considering that June is the NBA Finals time and “NBA 2K15” usually gets the highest player interest during the playoffs and the Finals.
Keeping abreast with the league
One of the key features of “NBA 2K15” is its ability to constantly provide regular update patches that often brings roster changes and gameplay tweaks and improvements.
The updates also bring forth locker codes, attribute and accessory improvements, and bug fixes. More than gameplay improvements, these regular roster updates is what makes the “NBA 2K15” very dynamic and almost similar to the league itself.
The regular roster updates are actually the difference between the “NBA 2K15” and the “WWE 2K15,” so gamers are always aware of what’s happening in the league in as far as player movements or transfers are concerned.
