Macaulay Culkin Becomes the Bastion of Support for Michael Jackson’s Daughter Rumored to be Dealing with Alcohol Addiction!

Critics are raising eyebrows on recent reports saying that Macaulay Culkin is now becoming the bastion of support for Michael Jackson’s 18-year-old daughter by Debbie Rowe, Paris Jackson.

Apparently, Culkin is the godfather of Paris Jackson and she has been coming to him for support and considers the “Home Alone” star as her role model in light of his mother’s current bout with breast cancer, reports the Inquisitr.

However, some critics and friends of Paris are all saying that Macaulay Culkin is a dangerous role model for her since the former child actor sensation once had a dark past.

It can be recalled that Culkin had a long bout with substance abuse and his recovery only happened less than five years ago. In fact, the actor once nearly died from heroin overdose.

There are also reports saying that Macaulay Culkin once developed a $6,000-a-month oxycodone habit, which is what is worrying the friends of Paris over her closeness to her godfather.

Paris Jackson also had a troubled past and she was reported to have attempted to commit a suicide by slashing her wrists three years ago. Reports are now saying that Paris is rumored to be dealing with alcohol addiction. Thus critics and her friends are saying that someone like Macaulay Culkin is certainly not the best company for Paris Jackson.

Scared of being orphaned

Reports also have it that the reason why Paris comes to Macaulay Culkin for support is because she is terrified of becoming an orphan.

She is aware that her godfather was able to manage to live on his own even when he was young when her parents separated and both tried to wiggle their way in to his multi-million earnings.

Macaulay Culkin was able to convince the court not to allow any of his parents to have access to his income, which was put in escrow. He later claimed it when he turned 18 years old.

With the amount of wealth he has stacked up since he was 10 years old reaching to millions of dollars, Macaulay Culkin managed to live a separate life without the demand of having to work

Paris was able to bond with Macaulay, whose drug addiction destroyed his acting career, because he was friends with her dad, Michael Jackson, who died of a drug overdose in 2009.

Macaulay Culkin was also among those who took the witness stand at Jackson’s infamous 2005 child molestation trial. Culkin defended the King of Pop and even revealed that he had slept with Jackson in one bed numerous times, but claimed that the “Thriller” hitmaker never molested him.

25 years of ‘My Girl’

Last year marked the 25th anniversary of the blockbuster family movie “Home Alone” shown in 1990 that catapulted Macaulay Culkin to superstardom.

This year, it is the turn of the movie “My Girl,” starring Macaulay Culkin and Anna Chlumsky, playing the hypochondriac Vada Sultenfuss, to mark its silver anniversary, reports The Wrap.

The 1991 movie is set in the summer of 1972 and also starred veteran Hollywood actors in Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd.

But before their pairing in “My Girl,” Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin already appeared in another movie together entitled “Uncle Buck” shown in 1989. In the movie, Macaulay Culkin played the nephew of John Candy and Gaby Hoffman played his niece.

Meanwhile, there have been a lot of reports saying that it was “Home Alone” which propelled then child actor Macaulay Culkin to superstardom but it turns out that his biggest role as Kevin McCallister in the 1990 hit Christmas family movie was actually written specifically for him.

Macaulay Culkin

It was John Hughes, the producer and writer for “Home Alone,” who confirmed not too long ago that he drew inspiration for the film from a previous family comedy he directed and Macaulay Culkin starred in. That movie was “Uncle Buck.”

Hughes had a hunch about Culkin’s contagious charisma in this film and knew he would be perfect for the leading role as Kevin McAllister in “Home Alone.”
