Luke Hemmings, lead vocalist of the Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS), seems to have developed real feelings for his girlfriend Arzaylea.
Unlike in the past when he seems to be overly concerned about what the fans of 5SOS would say if he comes to the rescue of Arzaylea whenever she’s having her usual bout against fans and other artists on social media, Luke Hemmings seems to have found the courage to stand by his girl.
As such, a number of fans of 5SOS are starting to get upset with Luke because of what he has been doing for Arzaylea.
It seems as if the tolerance limit of Luke Hemmings on the criticisms by 5SOS fans on Arzaylea has already been breached that he decided to finally intervene.
Hemmings actually got upset when one fan branded Arzaylea as the band’s groupie, which actually has some sexual connotations to it. The comment really riled up Luke that he reportedly sent a message directly to the fan who made the comment, notes Movie News Guide.
The 5SOS fan also sent a message to Hemmings and asked him to leave girlfriend Arzaylea because the girl is a crusty ass and that she is sick to see her all the time with the band.
Luke replied that she should stop being rude because it does not look good. He added that she should be nice to people because being rude makes her look like a bad person, details Fashion & Style.
He also posted a message on his social media accounts asking people to stop being rude and not spread negativity because it is not good.
Not in favor of the relationship
Fans of the 5SOS have been very vocal about their dislike for the relationship of Luke and Arzaylea ever since it became public in December last year.
While Luke Hemmings and his girlfriend Arzaylea have officially admitted to the public that they have been dating since late last year, many fans of Luke and the 5SOS have been expressing their dislike for the self-proclaimed social media influencer.
Fans have been calling Arzaylea as an attention-getter. She has also been an obstacle for the fans to see more of Luke without her.
Some of them have also been accusing Arzaylea of using Hemmings to gain fame and publicity and dubbed her as a gold digger in the social circuit.
Their dating began during the 5SOS North American concert tour in the second half of last year as Arzaylea is from Texas. She has been joining the concert tours of 5SOS last year and also this year outside of the US.
In a recent interview, Arzaylea addressed the hate directed towards her saying that the fans of Luke Hemmings want her to be a horrible person but she is really not. She says that she is just a normal girl who just happens to date someone who is not normal.
Not allowing popularity to get into his head
Luke Hemmings is not the type of person who would let his global popularity get into his head. Instead, spending much of his time in the limelight has taught him the value of choosing who his real friends are.
In a recent interview, Hemmings said that he finds his true friends where he came from. Every time he gets an opportunity, he just comes home and be with his old pals. He explained that people who are true friends just stay for the right reasons.
