While he is obviously the most popular among the members of the Australian rock band 5 Seconds of Summer and certainly the heartthrob of the group, Luke Hemmings has yet to have a girlfriend.
Unlike one of his bandmates who decided to dive into a romantic relationship, Luke has been consistent with his past pronouncement that having a girlfriend is not in his immediate plans, notes Design & Trend.
Luke did say however that if he ever gets into a romantic relationship in the near future with a girl, she has to like his bandmates first and foremost, if she is entertaining notions of their relationship working out and lasting long.
Obviously, the 19-year-old frontman of 5SOS prioritizes his career more than having a girlfriend at this point in his young life.
In a recent interview, Hemmings said that his ideal girl should be someone who gets along well with buddies Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford.
He added in jest that it’s really very difficult to find a girl who would like his three buddies because there are not many people that do.
Holds affection for one another
The band members of 5SOS hold a high degree of respect and affection for each other because they spend most of their time with each other. They are more like brothers already so it is not surprising that part of their requirements for having a girlfriend is that she should get along with her boyfriend’s best buddies.
At the moment, only Ashton Irwin is in a confirmed relationship with Bryana Holly, while the three others have yet to go into a serious affair, as they are having so much fun performing before mostly sold-out gigs and concert tours.
5SOS just completed their “Rock Out With Your Socks Out” world tour in North America on September 13 and they have been sharing their concert tour experiences and happiness with their fans and loved ones on social media.
In a recent tweet, Ashton Irwin said that the overwhelming support that fans threw for the global concert tour of 5SOS was absolutely mind-blowing and that it was like a dream come true for the rock band. He added that he hoped that fans had the best time ever attending their gigs and left the shows feeling more alive and in love with live music than they were before.
Occasional disagreements
Despite their seeming closeness, Luke also revealed that he and his bandmates do not always get along with others at certain times. They also have their fair share of disagreements every now and then, notes KdramaStars.
In a recent interview, Luke said that he and Calum, Michael and Ashton get into a lot of fights especially since they have been on tour for more than two years now.
While many fans would think that the boys fight over girls, but they are actually fighting over one thing only and that’s about music.
Luke said that their disagreements often center on music and rehearsals, saying that he has learned to live with his three bandmates because he would be a real terrible person if he did not get it on.
Luke, Michael, and Calum were spotted sometime last month sneaking out of the Nice Guy nightclub in Hollywood.
Without really confirming it, the two appears to be celebrating the release of the group’s second album titled “Sounds Good Feels Good” which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes chart just one hour after it officially came out on August 14 and made available for pre-order.
