For the first time since the rumors started swirling that 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) lead vocalist Luke Hemmings was dating social media sensation Arzaylea, the 19-year-old Australian singer finally admitted in a recent interview that the two of them are indeed dating.
In the interview with Rolling Stone magazine of UK, Luke said that he really wanted their relationship to be private that is why they even attempted to look as if they are not a couple, even getting out of cars separately.
Hemmings said that it was difficult for him and Arzaylea to keep their relationship a secret. The 5SOS crooner casually admitted that he and Arzaylea are a couple, quashing whatever hopes his millions of girl fans are still entertaining that the lead vocalist of 5SOS is still single.
It was just a few months ago when it seemed that Arzaylea had sprung up from nowhere but during the interview, Luke detailed that they met in a party in LA. Apparently, Arzaylea impressed him when she said to Luke that her favorite band was Maine.
Luke said that it is really hard to keep a relationship going when somebody is super mega famous like him. He added that one of the weirdest things is when he wanted it to be a secret but in the back of his mind, he does not want it to be a secret, details the Australia Network News.
As such, Luke has been very quiet about their relationship on social media which is the exact opposite with Arzaylea.
Arzaylea is not the type who would take all the slamming and bashing against her sitting down. In fact on December 25, she even tweeted that why is everyone a liar and why does everyone believe everything they read.
The following day she also tweeted that the way people manipulate today’s media is so gross, insinuating that most everything that people read in the media about her and her relationship with Luke Hemmings is based on rumors and hearsays.
How it all started
Luke shared that he and Arzaylea met at a get-together party in September last year. He said that the party was really bad but Arzaylea seemed to be the highlight of the evening as she caught his attention.
When he had the opportunity to get acquainted with her, Luke discovered that Arzaylea also has the same passion and ear for music.
Subsequently, Luke invited Arzaylea to the band’s house and that’s where their relationship bloomed.
Arzaylea is a girl from Texas whose life practically revolves around social media. She says that she is an internet influencer though she attended the Aveda Institute beauty school.
Luke’s revelations have shattered 5SOS fans all around the world as the innocent image of the 5SOS lead vocalist was smashed all of a sudden, details Movie News Guide.
Sticking with his girl
There has also been a leaked scandal of Luke’s private bedroom pictures with Arzaylea, which was reportedly leaked by Arzaylea herself.
But Luke stuck with his girlfriend and even unfollowed some of his fans on Twitter for tweeting against Arzaylea. As a result, Luke lost many of his fans, at least on social media.
Their relationship also survived rumors of having split sometime in November last year which turned out to be false.
In fact, during the 2015 American Music Awards late in November, there have been reports that the two have broken up after Arzaylea started ranting on Twitter that she was not invited to the event and thus had to come on her own.
She even insinuated in one of her posts back then that it was difficult if someone was just taking her love for granted, which many believe was describing the situation of her relationship with Luke.
All those times, Luke Hemmings never bothered making any statement or speaking about their supposed relationship.
