Lead vocalist of the Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) Luke Hemmings has been dating his social media influencer girlfriend Arzaylea since late last year but their relationship has been subjected to scrutiny and spawned countless rumors too, mostly negative.
Critics believe that the primary reason for the negative brickbats on their relationship is the high-profile stature of Arzaylea on social media.
She likes to keep people on the loop about the goings on in her life and some people find her efforts to showcase too much of her relationship with the popular Luke Hemmings as some sort of bragging.
While she does not say it directly, female fans look to her efforts on social media as nothing but gloating over the fact that she got Luke in the bag and the other females who are swooning over the 5SOS lead vocalist can just turn green with envy.
Most critics are of the opinion that in order for the relationship to work and progress and perhaps lead to something serious, Arzaylea should tone down her breast-beating on social media and just stay non-showbiz. After all, she is not a celebrity because only Luke is.
Once she puts herself in her rightful place in the relationship instead of competing for Luke’s attention among the fans, only then can the negative rumors about her end and their relationship would be free from unnecessary hassles, especially when they are out in public.
Hatred breeds negative rumors
Because fans of Luke Hemmings and 5SOS hate Arzaylea to the max, they would do everything to make their idol realize that he is dating someone who is not fit for him, or worse is cheating on him often.
In fact, there were rumors last month saying that Arzaylea tried to cheat on Luke by reportedly going flirty and hitting on his bandmate Michael Clifford, who shunned it away. When Clifford decided to tell Hemmings about it, it caused a minor altercation as Luke refused to believe what his bandmate had to say about his girlfriend.
That was when the 5SOS were in the European leg of their “Sounds Live, Feels Live” concert tour.
After a brief break, which the band members spent mostly in their home country in Australia, 5SOS is back in the road again in the US and Canada for the North American leg of their concert tour.
During the lull on their concert tour, reports came out that Arzaylea cheated on Luke Hemmings when a former friend of her revealed that she slept with John Waugh of the 1975 band twice, reports Movie News Guide.
The revelation was made by the supposedly former friend of Arzaylea via Twitter using the handle @babequality.
In addition to the sleeping with John Waugh claim, @babequality claimed that Arzaylea once drank, smoke and took cocaine on the same night. She also added that the rumors of Arzaylea trying to kiss Michael Clifford were true, details the Hollywood Take.
By some kind of coincidence, the cheating claims on Arzaylea also came out after rumors of Luke Hemmings cheating with his girlfriend were released online.
In fact, supposed naked photos of the 5SOS lead vocalist went viral and many were of the assumption that it was Luke who leaked them online.
Not bothered by rumors
With the sighting of Luke and Arzalyea in Toronto, Canada early this month, it seems that the pair is not bothered at all by the cheating rumors thrown on each other and consider those as attempts of some people to tear them apart.
It appears that they have survived yet again another onslaught of malicious cheating rumors so it only makes their relationship stronger than before.
