No pardon yet
So far, Undeafeated has not released any pardon concerning the logo. The band is also sticking out with their new skull logo. They are no longer offering any tally tees on their shop but they still have a beanie hat offering with the old tally logo.
5 Seconds of Summer started in December 2011 by posting covers of popular songs on YouTube. Their first video was a cover of Mike Posner’s “Please Don’t Go” on Luke’s YouTube Channel. Then, their popularity started peaking after they posted a cover of Chris Brown’s “Next to You” which reached over 600,000 views that year.
The Australian band’s effort did not go to waste since they were discovered by Louis Tomlinson of One Direction who promoted their song back in 2012. Louis’ promotion of the band became their ticket to worldwide attention.
Now, the band is being compared very closely to One Direction. Luke is even compared to One Direction’s lead, Harry Styles. So far, Luke is on the #21 of the Most Popular Person ranking on Famous Birthdays while Harry is ranked #7.
