Before the Season 5 premiere of “Longmire,” it was already hinted that Walt Longmire would be struggling with his personal and romantic relationships.
In fact, there were even insinuations that a possible love triangle would brew among the three characters involving Walt, Vic, and Henry, played by Lou Diamond Phillips, which seem downright ridiculous since it has never been written at all in the books of author Craig Johnson who wrote the source materials for the TV series. As a matter of fact, it never happened in Season 5 of “Longmire.”
But the teaser hinted that Walt Longmire may be having a hard time dealing with crimes as well as his possible romantic relationship with Vic.
The trailer of “Longmire” Season 5 also featured a conversation between Vic and Walt, which indicated that the TV series would follow what was written in the books and the two might end up in a romantic relationship.
A good number of fans of “Longmire” are not in favor of a romantic relationship between Walt and Vic because of their glaring age difference. But it seems that the show wants to stand on its own storyline.
