Lindsay Lohan was planning to do every single day of her current pending community service until she has completed the court order, and she has now returned to the US. According to the latest reports, she will be completing her community service in Brooklyn, New York, after her lawyer has managed to strike a deal with the judge which will grant her the ability to work there, while at the same time her deadline was extended until the end of May.
It’s not even one day after the actress was noticed in London by some watchful eyes that she posted a picture on Instagram, saying that she’s happy to be back in the US. She also stated that she’s quite serious about getting her community service done, and she’s determined to clean up her current “queue” and get her life back on track. If she does everything she should, it won’t be long before she’s able to enjoy her life as a free person again, but of course it’s up to her to stay clean and off the various dangerous paths that she sometimes strays away on.
Her lawyer had to give some explanations about her behavior recently, as she had only completed 10 of her 125 hours of community service, which prompted the judge to ask about her current situation. According to her lawyer, Shawn Holley, it takes her a lot of time just to get to the community service center – 90 minutes after it was moved to a new location – which has been making it very difficult for her to keep up with her obligations.
She’s now been granted permission to serve the rest of her hours in Brooklyn, which is apparently a much more convenient option for her, and she’s returned to the US in order to get that done and out of her way. Hopefully, now that she’s able to do her community service at a center that’s more conveniently placed for her needs, she will get her hours done fast enough.
Lohan got an extended deadline for that as well, so she won’t have to put a lot of effort into completing her community service, and she’ll basically just have to stick to a somewhat relaxed plan, according to people close to the situation. So far, she’s been showing good signs of progress and a dedication to get her life in order, so it’s not unlikely that we’ll hear about a happy resolution to this story after a few weeks. Of course, we have no idea where the situation is going to move to next.
