By October 2014, she was starting to pull herself together. She even made her stage debut in the London West End production of David Mamet’s “Speed the Plow.” The play is a satire about the movie business.
Lohan plays Karen, the secretary of a Hollywood executive, and a role originally played by Madonna. Although reviews for her performance were mixed, Lindsay completed all her scheduled performances.
In May 2015, a judge ended Lohan’s probation after she completed the community service that resulted from her 2012 reckless driving case. It was the first time in eight years that LiLo has been probation-free.
Knowing it would be hard for her to bounce back from her lost stardom through films, the “Freaky Friday” actress focused her attention on TV. Last year, she made guest appearances on “2 Broke Girls,” “Eastbound & Down,” and “Anger Management.”
She also went back to acting after a two-year hiatus last year. Her last role was in the short film “Till Human Voices Wake Us,” which was released in July last year.
In November last year, Lindsay confirmed through posting a snap on Instagram that she is set to do another movie as she shared a photo of herself on the set for the upcoming indie film “The Shadow Within.”
