LG G4 Reportedly Up Against Delays With Processor Maker!

When the LG G3 hit the market last year it took the mobile market and turned it upside down. With a huge display that could produce 4k resolution, super fast quad-core processor and a camera on the backside that can record in 4k, the LG G3 was certainly considered one of the best phones of the year. When that happens, the next model is expected to be just as popular and usually contains a couple of serious upgrades so that you are thinking about doing just that.

The LG G4 is coming for sure, but according to recent reports, the phone might be delayed because of production issues the processor maker is having. The brand new LG smartphone is reportedly going to arrive with the brand new Snapdragon 810 chip from Qualcomm, but that is not the only one. Reports indicate that the Sony Xperia Z4, Samsung Galaxy S6 and a phablet from Motorola are all expected to be delayed.

According to a source over in Korea, during the testing phase of the super fast processor, the company found several issues with its performance and has had to halt production to find out what can be done about it. The issues that are being reported include an overheating issue, a problem with the graphics processor unit and problems with RAM communication. All of these issues can be very serious, so it is important to take a closer look at them now rather than wait until the phones are shipped.

The main upgrade for the Snapdragon 810 is the fact that it will support 4k displays, which is the next step in the mobile world. The processor is also a 64-bit octa-core, which makes it one of the fastest on the market as of right now. For Samsung, the delay might not be that big of a deal because they have an Exynos chip they can use for now, but LG does not have a plan B at this time.

Since the report is coming from an unnamed source, it could be creating a lot of buzz for nothing. It is still worth noting the production problems since most of the high end smartphones have run into issues over the years. In the early years, Apple would have production, or supply chain issues with just about every new handset they released. Consumers in the mobile world are not shocked when something like this happens since companies are constantly trying to get better gadgets to the market even faster each year.
