LG blew the lid off the smartphone game about 3 years ago when it released the original G series phone and now that consumers can see what LG can do, the fourth edition to that series is expected to be a very popular model. The LG G2 and the G3 were both great models that were released with plenty of upgraded features like display resolution, amount of RAM, camera on the back and storage, but the LG G4 is stacking up against just about every other smartphone on the block as the best right now.
It might have seemed like forever ago that you heard about the LG G4 and when it was supposed to hit the market, but we are finally hearing a little bit more about an actual release date. Most smartphones are released in the spring and fall months, so that is the path that LG is likely to take. The LG G3 was announced in May and was in stores just a month later and many online sources are expecting the same for the G4.
According to online sources, the official launch date for the LG G4 is going to be the 28th of April. So, just a few weeks away and you could be trying to decide if you want to upgrade to the latest and greatest in cellphone technology. The phone was confirmed by LG back in February of this year and if the launch date sticks, it will have arrived a little sooner than the LG G3 did.
As of right now, consumers are not sure what to expect with the new smartphone, however, LG did announce a new display for smartphones this week. If the new display would arrive in the LG G4, then it would be expected around the 5.5-inch size, which is about par for the course for high end smartphones on the market today. The new display brings many improvements for smartphones and is expected to be LG’s best.
The LG G4 is going to be competing with the Galaxy S6, which comes with the QHD display that measures 5.1-inches and has been called “impressive”, by some. If the 5.5-inch QHD display comes on the new LG G4, it would bring greater color and brightness according to reviews. With that being said the first spec consumers are going to look at is the battery life. According to LG, the new display is supposed to be more efficient, but still provide better color depth, brightness and better touch function than previous models.
