LG Electronics has just released its LG G4 smartphone but there are news that suggest the company is already planning for a bigger release for the device’s successor, the LG G4 Pro. This rumor was posted on a Chinese social networking site, Weibo, where it was stated that the Korean tech company will prepare a launch for the Pro version of the highly-praised LG G4.
According to Value Walk, this is not exactly a rumor as it was previously hinted by LG that they are already considering launching an updated version of their flagship smartphone that was launched last year. Reports note that LG has not been very pleased with how the sales has turned out with their flagship phone that is why they are now looking at other options to improve their product.
The launch of the LG G3 has been very successful. Some reviewers even pointed out that the product even exceeded top smartphone manufacturers Apple and Samsung. However, even though their product is already at par with these top competitors, LG is not placed on that criteria yet by the market.
That is why LG will probably release an upgraded version of the LG G4 before the year ends. It was suggested that the new luxury smartphone from LG will be released either in the third or the fourth quarter of the year.
LG G4 versus Samsung Galaxy S6
The LG G4 has brought high-grade head-to-head competition with the Samsung Galaxy S6. Of course, the Galaxy S6 did not disappoint with the design and display. The new smartphone featured a beautifully contoured aluminum body shells with glass front and back panels that created an elegant look and feel for the smartphone. It also has a fingerprint scanner that is like the Apple Touch ID.
Samsung Galaxy S6’s display is also outstanding. It is made of Super AMOLED 5.1-inch screen that features a QHD resolution at 577ppi. It has top-of-the-line color, contrast, brightness and wide ranges of customizations.
The LG G4 also has an elegant look with that genuine leather back panel design. Unlike the Samsung leather design that was made of plastic guff back in 2014, LG’s leather is actually real. However, for some users who do not support the use of real leather, they can opt in for the plastic variant of LG G4.

Aside from the stitching on the leather case, it pretty much has the same overall aesthetic as the leather one. The back panels are also interchangeable so if the user would want to change the colors they can do so by purchasing another cover. The display capacity is very close to Samsung since they are using LG’s IPS LCD Quantum technology with a QHD resolution. It is a 5.5-inch display with a 538ppi screen power. LG has also enhanced the overall contrast, color gamut and brightness of the device.
