People involved with “Dancing with the Stars” – both presently as well as in the past – have been releasing mixed news about their lives lately. One of the top dancers of the crew, Len Goodman, currently head of the show’s judges, has announced that he will not be returning to the production after the season airing in the spring. Goodman has been with the show since its very beginning, and fans have taken the news with understandable disappointment.
However, it seems that Goodman definitely needs the break from the production, and has been considering this move for a while. He has stated that he needs more time off from his current work, and it’s not yet clear if he’s planning to return afterwards.
Judging from his statement though, it may be the case that he’s not looking to return to the show for any of its future seasons, as he claimed that the 10th year of the show’s production looks like “a nice place to stop”. This could possibly indicate that he’s looking at his departure from the production as a permanent one, though nothing has been confirmed by either him or the rest of the show’s production staff.
It’s apparently been known for a while behind the scenes that Goodman was planning to leave, which makes sense – apparently, Julianne Hough was brought in for this very reason, as she was intended to be the replacement for Goodman from the very beginning.
Goodman is not the only one moving away from “Dancing with the Stars”, as according to reports, Cheryl Burke is also leaving the show, as she’ll be taking part in a new variety show hosted on NBC.
And in some more positive news, Lindsay Arnold has recently announced her engagement with her boyfriend Sam Cusick. Lindsay hasn’t been with the show for a while, but fans are still keeping an eye on her life, and it seems that it’s been moving in a very positive direction. The engagement occurred during a holiday trip the two were taking to Africa, and the announcement was followed by a picture of the engagement ring.
Witney Carson was reportedly noticed in the comments of the Instagram post, congratulating Arnold on her engagement, and expressing her great happiness with the event.
