In any case, Nintendo would likely want to maintain the hype levels around the game sufficiently high, so we’ll probably hear some official information about the upcoming launch at some point during 2016. If not, then we should probably wait for the next earnings report which could give some insight into the company’s future launch plans.
We don’t know what kinds of expectations fans have about this entry into the series, but Aonuma himself stated that he believes the game could become quite successful if they pull it off right. That will take some concentration, naturally, but he seems convinced that the game could exceed even his own expectations.
We’re patiently waiting to see what will happen at this point, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that the extra wait is justified by some special new features introduced into the Wii U version of “The Legend of Zelda” – though we can’t say what those could be.
