‘Left 4 Dead 3’ to Come Out as a Prequel to Left 4 Dead 2

If and when “Left 4 Dead 3” is released late next year, it would have taken Valve Corporation seven years to develop the game.

Obviously, the departure of Turtle Rock Studios as Valve’s partner in the “Left 4 Dead” franchise has had an impact on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3.” But it also put pressure on Valve to really develop the game.

If Valve will not push through with the development of “Left 4 Dead 3,” it would only mean that it was Turtle Rock Studios who has been calling the shots on the franchise all along, which would be a big bite out of the pride of the major gaming company. Valve would not want that to happen most certainly.

Recent incidents seem to point to the writings on the wall that the “Left 4 Dead 3” video game is now on the development phase.

First came the revelations made by an anonymous former employee of Valve Corporation who said that the game developer will create “Left 4 Dead 3” ahead of the first-person shooter video game “Half Life 3.”

Recently, leaks started coming out saying that Valve Corporation was already remaking several “Left 4 Dead 2” levels using the Source 2 Engine, which is consistent with reports that “Left 4 Dead 3” will be developed using Steam’s new engine.
