Left 4 Dead 3 Supposedly Higher Priority Than Half-Life 3 for Valve!

The main reason, according to some, is that Valve have set the bar too high for this franchise with the release of the last game, and it would be impossible for them to jump over it right now. At the same time, all the hype about the game certainly hasn’t been helping, as people are expecting a lot from “Half-Life 3” right now and it would be difficult for Valve to live up to those expectations in any realistic way. Especially if they have been planning the game as a regular sequel to the franchise and nothing too special.

The studio might need to rethink their entire approach to the market if they want to stay relevant, as other companies have been moving forward quite actively with their own developments, while Valve have been relatively stagnant in their work on new titles.

Supporting their current prominent titles is important, of course, but the studio should put some effort into staying relevant with new releases as well. There are lots of opportunities for them in this regard, and they could definitely surprise their fans with some more unusual games in the next few months/years, but it remains to be seen what they are planning. For all we know, Valve’s top priority right now could be to continue working on Steam and developing the service further.

  1. I’m done with Valve, they obviously don’t care about their fans any more. I’ve been Googling Left 4 Dead 3 a few times a week for pretty much the last four years for crying out loud,..I know I’m not the only one, can’t they see there’s a massive demand for it?

  2. @Onfirea Your not the only one, I’m always on google and youtube searching for a glimmer of hope for this game. It’s seems as though they’ve completely abandoned it. They are so rich they couldn’t care less about what the l4d fans want. It’s been 6 years and…nothing. It’s not just you, ALOT of people want this game, and if they actually got off their asses and made it, it would be a really good move. They thought they were rich now, they’d be trillionaires.
