‘Left 4 Dead 3’ Latest Hint Dropped During the Recent Launching of the HTC Vive’s VR Headset!

The latest hint of the possibility of the multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” coming out to the gaming consoles and the PC happened again last month during the launching of the virtual reality headset of the Taiwanese tech giant HTC, officially known as the HTC Vive VR.

During the demo of the HTC Vive’s VR at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the demonstration video had full of references not only to “Left 4 Dead 3” but also to the survival first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3″ also from the same game developer Valve Corporation.

In addition to the video from the Valve News Network, there are also two folders called ‘left4dead3’ and ‘hl3′ as well as lines of code referencing “Half-Life 3” and a potential quest system, notes Games Radar.

However, the Valve News Network pointed out that the Source 2 engine contains a great deal of stuff ported over directly from the old engine, hinting at the possibility that those files and references could be previously seen things copied and pasted over again.

The video demo of the HTC Vive VR also showed the Aperture Robot Repair demo featuring assets from “Half-Life 2” and “Portal 2,” albeit with no interactivity and fixed camera angles, points out Trusted Reviews.

The code features the usual strings for ‘l4d3’ and ‘hl3’ but those are not uncommon and offers little indication that the new games are in the works despite the fact that Valve Corporation has yet to make any official announcement or statement about those two highly-anticipated video games from its stable.

Possible release date

A fanatic and critic of the multiplayer zombie shooter video game franchise “Left 4 Dead” is one of the millions of gamers who are eagerly anticipating the release of “Left 4 Dead 3” from Valve Corporation.

Latest reports have it that the game could finally come out on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 next year although it remains as speculation at this time as Valve has yet to make a formal announcement or statement to either confirm or deny the rumored release date of the game.

The critic believes that in order for Valve to make “Left 4 Dead 3” great, it has to build on the gains of the “Left 4 Dead” and avoid the mess that the developer has somewhat made on “Left 4 Dead 2.”

The female game critic admitted to having enjoyed “Left 4 Dead 2” nonetheless but there is a point in the game that it featured very few improvements and also so many shortcomings too that it could have been released by Valve merely as an expansion of the original game instead of a new title.

Redeeming the misgivings of ‘Left 4 Dead 2’

Back then, it should be remembered that Valve was not publishing its own developed games and had to answer to Electronic Arts (EA). So with the massive success of “Left 4 Dead,” EA wanted to immediately cash in on the title and pushed both Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios to haphazardly develop “Left 4 Dead 2,” which came out just a little over a year later after “Left 4 Dead.”

At the moment, Valve has full ownership of the series and no third-party publisher to answer to. Thus, it is likely that Valve will be back to its mode when it first developed the original “Left 4 Dead.”

So both the critic and millions of gamers of the franchise are hoping that the next game of the franchise would feature massive and impressive changes on “Left 4 Dead 3” and really make it a worthy stand-alone title.

Based on the rumored plotline of “Left 4 Dead 3,” it seems that Valve is right on target towards redeeming the misgivings of “Left 4 Dead 2.”
