There is no speculation of such kind with “Left 4 Dead 3” which only validates that the game is indeed in the works. Latest reports also have it that “Left 4 Dead 3” could possibly be released late next year, with the latest being in early 2017.
However, until Valve Corporation makes the formal announcement to confirm or debunk the reports about the release date of “Left 4 Dead 3,” all information regarding the game’s official roll out remain as speculation at this time.
If and when “Left 4 Dead 3” is released late next year, it would have taken Valve Corporation all of seven years to develop the game, which is like an eternity in game development.
Obviously, the departure of Turtle Rock Studios as Valve’s partner in the “Left 4 Dead” franchise has had an impact on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3.” But it also put pressure on Valve to really develop the game.
If Valve will not push through with the development of “Left 4 Dead 3,” it would only mean that it was Turtle Rock Studios who had been calling the shots on the franchise all along, which would be a big bite out of the pride of the major gaming company. Valve would not want that to happen most certainly.
“Indicate that the Game is Now in the Works!” – This is nothing! They just don’t see the future of L4D3 as a prequel, that’s all. Maybe i’m wrong… who knows! The time will tell, but right now, it’s just a speculation.
