Left 4 Dead 3 could end up being just like Half Life 3. A game that video game lovers want to play, but cannot wait forever to try it out. The game has been leaked and rumored for long enough now and fans just want to know one thing; when is the third installment of the series going to be released? That does not seem like a very hard question to answer, but when you take a look at the lack of news on the topic, you might think opposite.
Left 4 Dead 3 is supposed to be the continuation of Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2, both of which were developed by Valve, but it seems like the developers are taking longer than they had in the previous releases. The Left 4 Dead video game series started back in 2008 with the second installation coming just one year later and that is the main reason that fans are worried.
Leading up to the rumors that are starting to fly around the internet, there was so little information that many had ruled the game was out of production. That all changed when a former developer for Valve said that he had seen some concept art somewhere that led him to believe that the game was going to be produced. Because Valve has not made any comments about the game, it is hard to tell what is truth and what should be taken as rumor. Even more speculation started when, during a YouTube video, an illustrator for Valve accidentally shown some artwork for the third installment of the game.
Because the files were there and the illustrator worked for Valve, the credibility of the rumor was all but confirmed by the company at that moment. The game is considered a 1st person shooter and was quite popular when it was first released for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Leaked photos and videos that show anything related to the game are going to be held under a microscope until Valve or Electronic Arts come forward with a confirmation announcement about the release date.
Other online sources claim that the reason it is taking so long to complete is based on the developers working closer on another project called “Evolve”. That could be the case, but when two versions of the game are released within 1 year of another and the third is set to come more than 5 years later, speculation is going to run very high.
