‘Left 4 Dead 3’ Developer Confirms that Game is Development; Launching Likely to Happen Next Year

Unlike the status of the survival first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3” on the Valve Corporation stable, the American game developer has already confirmed in August that the multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” is now in development.

Valve was forced to confirm the development of the game when a group of DoTA players on a tour of the facility of Valve lifted the games existence off a background photo of a computer monitor, reports the iDigital Times.

With another monitor dissection, it has been deduced by some eagle-eyed gaming enthusiasts and critics that the release date of “Left 4 Dead 3” could happen at least one year closer, which indicates that the game could come out on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One as early as next year.

According to some sources, they reportedly caught “Left 4 Dead 3” release date info in the latest YouTube video from Valve Pipeline.

Apparently, the video featured Valve illustrator, Andrea Wicklund, developing work for the Lobster hunter and in the process of navigating her desktop, showed some “Left 4 Dead 3” related files in a company desktop.

Leaked several times

It seems that the rumors that “Left 4 Dead 3” will come out to the gaming consoles next year stemmed from the supposed leaks about the game over the last couple of months.

Critics believe that the leaks are actually intentional on the part of Valve in order to fuel further excitement and interest on the highly-anticipated game. After all, the last game of the franchise, “Left 4 Dead 2,” came out on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in 2009, details the Digital Spy.

It has been nearly eight years of waiting for gamers so it is only appropriate that its latest iteration finally comes out soon.

With the confirmation that the game is now in development, gamers have high hopes that “Left 4 Dead 3” would come out sooner than later.

The notions were sparked by the fact that Valve is planning to move to an even bigger office which could signal the possibility of the company hiring more employees to focus on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3” among other major titles in its upcoming roster.

The planned move has set speculations that Valve’s team of game developers is getting ready to focus on the full development of “Left 4 Dead 3,” among other video games on the company’s roster.

The lack of a dedicated development team is the reason why the company has not yet launched games such as the “Left 4 Dead 3” and “Half-Life 3.” However, with the company’s expansion plan, Valve may have the right number of manpower to finish the games which could have long been in development.

Refreshing their skills set on the game

Some gamers are now refreshing their skills set by practicing “Left 4 Dead” and “Left 4 Dead 2” which could be an indication that they are now awaiting the impending arrival of “Left 4 Dead 3.”

There are also reports saying that when “Left 4 Dead 3” comes out on the gaming consoles and the PC, it shall also be capable of supporting the virtual reality (VR) technology.

left 4 dead 3

It is possible that the VR technology would be used first on “Left 4 Dead 3” before it is integrated into “Half-Life 3.” It is still not clear whether the VR technology would also be used by Valve in some of its upcoming game titles.

The speculations about the VR capability of “Left 4 Dead 3” stemmed from the recent launching of the HTC Vive VR headset to be powered by Steam.

It could also be recalled that the first two games in the “Left 4 Dead” franchise were joint collaborations between Valve and Turtle Rock Studios.
