‘Left 4 Dead 3’ Anticipating Fans Get their Thirst for the Game Quenched with Turtle Rock’s Release of an Unfinished Campaign from the Original Game!

Independent game developer Turtle Rock Studios has already announced that it has officially ended its partnership with Valve Corporation after the release of “Left 4 Dead 2.”

Company officials added that the only way that they would go back to the third iteration of the multiplayer zombie shooter video game franchise, “Left 4 Dead,” is as gamers or spectators and not as developers.

Turtle Rock officials said that it is all Valve’s show already for “Left 4 Dead 3.” Valve has already confirmed in August that the game is indeed in development but it has not said anything about when would the game come out in the gaming consoles and the PC.

There have been reports saying that “Left 4 Dead 3” would come out of the gaming consoles and the PC ahead of Valve’s first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3.” Since the general consensus of the release date rumors for “Half-Life 3” is that it would come out in 2018, then it follows that “Left 4 Dead 3” could actually come out in 2017.

But Valve has not been saying anything about the release date of the game so everything is up in the air regarding “Left 4 Dead 3,” which only increases fan thirst and enthusiasm for it.

Turtle Rock to the rescue

From out of nowhere, Turtle Rock surprised every “Left 4 Dead” franchise fans when it released this past weekend an unfinished campaign of the original game, entitled “Damn It,” for free especially those who own the game on the PC, reports Gamespot.

Chris Ashton, co-founder of Turtle Rock Studios, actually posted on the game developer’s forum sites a link to the third-party source where gamers can download the campaign.

Ashton says that it is a gray box work, which means that some features are incomplete but it is nonetheless playable from beginning to end.

The “Damn It” campaign was never finished. It includes a couple of Survival maps that never came out. Overall, it stitches together the game’s “Dead Air” and “Blood Harvest” campaigns.

Installation instructions are available on the download page provided by Turtle Rock. There are a number of issues acknowledged in the add-on’s notes because it does not include any code changes that could resolve them, details Polygon.

There’s also a very detailed map of the setting and the level design, which function as a nice strategy guide for those exploring “Damn It.”

The campaign begins at an airstrip and moves its way through an apple orchard, into a deep ravine, through a covered bridge and a campground before the big finale at a hydroelectric power dam. It is set up so that players can split up to work independently, instead of cooperatively, to fend off the zombie onslaught and reach the conclusion.

Forced to confirm its development

Unlike the status of the “Half-Life 3” on the Valve Corporation roster, the American game developer has already confirmed in August that “Left 4 Dead 3” is now in development.

Valve was forced to confirm the development of the game when a group of “DoTA” players on a tour of the facility of Valve lifted the games existence off a background photo of a computer monitor.

With another monitor dissection, it has been deduced by some eagle-eyed gaming enthusiasts and critics that the release date of “Left 4 Dead 3” could happen at least one year closer, which indicates that the game could come out on the PlayStation 4,  the Xbox One, and the PC as early as next year.

According to some sources, they reportedly caught “Left 4 Dead 3” release date info in the latest YouTube video from Valve Pipeline.

Apparently, the video featured Valve illustrator, Andrea Wicklund, developing work for the Lobster hunter and in the process of navigating her desktop, which showed some “Left 4 Dead 3” related files in a company directory.

It seems that the rumors that “Left 4 Dead 3” will come out to the gaming consoles and the PC next year stemmed from the supposed leaks about the game over the last couple of months.
