It was recently revealed that there is a hidden category in the actors of “GTA 5”, apparently related to the upcoming “Heists” mode that players have been eagerly anticipating for some time now. And thanks to DomisLive on YouTube, fans of the game now got a chance to see what the models look like, and also get a few additional glimpses into how the new DLC is going to work.
Details about the upcoming DLC are coming from Funmw2, a well-known leaker in the community of the game, who was previously responsible for revealing various bits of information about the title. Now, he’s shared some alleged code files from the new DLC, shining some light on how it’s supposedly going to work.
There could be, for example, multiple Heist leaders for every mission that players decide to take on, in the same style as Jeff and Lester in “GTA 5”, with the player getting to pick which one they want to use. Additionally, details about the hidden actor category have been revealed, and these models will apparently be used in cutscenes, but it’s not known if they will also have any purpose in actual gameplay.
The category includes Michelle, Trevor and Chef, among other characters. For all of them, it’s equally possible that they could be featured as Heist leaders, or they could simply be used in cutscenes. It’s worth noting that of the three, only Trevor is directly taken from the game. Michelle is Niko Bellic’s girlfriend (the protagonist of “GTA 4”), and she plays a key role in the FIB. Then, we have Chef, who’s currently very mysterious as not much is known about the character, but it’s been alleged that he works for Trevor Philips. The character has been seen during the main story of “GTA 5” a few times, but he’s only made minor appearances so far.
It looks like the Heists DLC is going to bring a lot more to the game other than a new game mode, as the developers are also looking to expand the range of characters in the plot, and they’re even making direct ties to previous installments in the franchise. It’s not known if Niko Bellic himself will be referenced in some way in the new DLC – he could even be included as a character if Rockstar decide to go that way!
In any case, the development of the new DLC seems to be wrapping up already, so we should soon see more detailed news about it, and hopefully an actual in-depth gameplay preview that shows exactly what players are going to get when the DLC is released. In the end, that seems to be what most people are interested in right now.
