Renowned comedian Gabriel Iglesias is inviting people in Southern California in order to get rid of the Holiday stress and check out his fun-filled Unity through Laughter Tour. It will come to the Honda Center Theatre in Anaheim and the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will go live in these two theatres during the weekend.
Gabriel Iglesias, the 36-year old comedian, was born in San Diego and grew up the area of Long Beach.
He declared that he was quite happy to be performing so close to his home. However, he funnily added that his freeloading family and friends will be ganging up on him for complementary tickets in these shows. While people expect him to be quite excited about it, he declares that it certainly is a pain.
He further declared that he is never partial to his family and doesn’t provide the best seats for them. He wanted people to know that the best seats were reserved for all his fans way out in the front while his family members will need to satisfy themselves with the back row seats.
Gabriel Iglesias is the perfect host for “The Funniest Commercials of the Year” It will air on Thursday night at 10pm on Spike. He came into the show without any form of bias on his part, as he never watches commercials at all. He indicated that he will probably have to watch them on the Super Bowl, but he is more of a DVR kind of a person. He simply wishes to fast-forward through, which isn’t much of good news for the TV industry!
However, thankfully Iglesias said that when he sees the commercials, he watches them open-minded and always tends to like them. The show started with around 50 commercials and then the list is cut down. He watched a lot of them and liked it was well. He had a favorite one too.
He declared that the funniest commercial, according to him, was the one with the Ginger Beer. He loved how a guy walked down the beach with a hot girl on her side, saying ginger beer is the best “except maybe dating a chick half your age”. Gabriel declared that he broke up into hysterical laughter.
Gabriel Iglesias is known for his plump structure, which also earned him the name ‘Fluffy’. He started with stand-up comedy in the local comedy clubs in 1997. He is popular due to his witty takes on the everyday life of individuals, while involving a variety of wonderful voice impressions and various sound effects. He got his big first on-screen break when he received a call from Channing Tatum in order to play the role of the DJ in the male strip club, in Steven Soderbergh’s film, ‘Magic Mike’.
