No, there won’t be any crossover happening between DC Comics and Disney and “Suicide Squad” will not have anything to do with the “Star Wars” franchise.
But the latest images from the filming of “Suicide Squad” where versatile actor and musician Jared Leto plays the role of The Joker, shows him looking very demonic and hideous, even drawing resemblance to the Darth Sidious character in the “Star Wars” franchise.
Jared Leto has been getting positive reviews for taking his role as The Joker too seriously not only in terms of looks but also his character.
Many talented actors have previously played the role of The Joker, Batman’s arch-nemesis, but among them all, it was the interpretation of the late actor Heath Ledger that sticks to fans’ minds in the movie “The Dark Knight” shown in 2008.
Veteran actor Jack Nicholson also played the role of The Joker in the 1989 “Batman” film starring Michael Keaton but he just played comical about it and very light-hearted too.
But now that filming for the DC comic-based movie “Suicide Squad” is under way, all eyes seem to be on Jared Leto and how he appears to be getting into his character as The Joker.
Word coming out of the production set of the “Suicide Squad” is that Jared Leto’s interpretation of The Joker is better than that of Heath Ledger’s. This would not be a surprise since Jared Leto is quite a good actor and he really likes to be in-character before he takes on a role.
It seems that all the preparations and the fan teases he had been making on social media about himself as The Joker in the “Suicide Squad” is proving to be well worth it since he is more than qualified and capable for the job and he seems to be drawing favorable and positive reviews for his acting straight from the film production people themselves.
Attempts to conceal
Despite his attempts to conceal his looks from the public as The Joker, there have been plenty of leaks and intentional release of tease on Jared Leto as the Clown Prince of Crime.
Even “Suicide Squad” director David Ayer regular provides teases of Jared Leto’s looks as The Joker in his Instagram account.
And when the filming of the movie took place in Toronto, Canada, more pictures of Jared Leto as The Joker came out including one where he is shown with Harley Quinn and the batmobile, notes Moviefone.
The latest leaks are photos of Jared Leto wearing a hoodie while on the set of the film in an attempt to conceal his character or hide his pale skin from the sun. He also exudes that death stare, a hand tattoo and rather jagged teeth like that of a reptile.
