A month after the announcement that she will perform at Super Bowl LI halftime show, Lady Gaga released her fifth studio album, “Joanne,” which she describes as her most personal album to date. Her first single, “Perfect Illusion” was released a month before her album came out.

The album is a follow-up to her 2014 album “Cheek to Cheek” and includes hits such as “A Million Reasons” and “Ayo.”

Lady Gaga also opens up that her role as The Countess in the fifth season of “American Horror Story: Hotel” had a major influence in the inception of her latest album. She won a Golden Globe award for her portrayal in the mini-series.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the “Just Dance” songstress explained her desire to put on a show for football fans and the ones who are watching at home.

She adds that she’s definitely going to play a mix of her old and new songs despite not being sure yet of her set list.

Last month, Lady Gaga launched the “Guest of Honor” contest along with Pepsi and the NFL, which would enable some of her lucky fans to see the Super Bowl LI halftime show from the sidelines of the stage.
