Speaking to E! News about her latest album, she says that “Joanne” is about bringing people together, adding that she wants to build a closer relationship with everyone through her album.
While many have speculated that the album title is due to her real name, she says that the album name is dedicated to her late aunt. She adds that they share the same name which makes the album more dear to her.
She says that her latest studio album is her most personal yet. In September last year, she released the album’s lead single “Perfect Illusion” before releasing her album in October.
Aside from her upcoming world tour, the “Poker Face” hitmaker is also set to headline Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival for the first time.
Gaga will perform in Rio de Janeiro on September 15 for the opening night of the annual festival. She will perform along with Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
After her “American Horror Story” stint, she’s also to star in Bradley Cooper’s remake of the 1954 musical drama film titled “A Star is Born.”
She is set to create new music for the project, with filming set to begin sometime this year. The film will be released on September 28, 2018.
