Lady Gaga Announces World Tour, Releases New Music Video, and Claps Back at Bashers after Her Super Bowl 51 Halftime Show Performance!

Lady Gaga is on a roll after her massive Super Bowl 51 halftime performance earlier this week. Less than a day after the Mother Monster made headlines, she released the dates for her upcoming world tour.

The “Born This Way” singer announced her Joanne world tour across North America, Europe, and South America. Her world tour will kick off in August and will run until December this year. It would be in support of her fifth studio album of the same title.

Fresh off her Super Bowl 51 gig, Gaga is set to make another chart-topping performance in the upcoming Grammy Awards.

A Grammy’s commercial posted on Twitter confirmed that Lady Gaga will join Metallica for a duet performance at the awards show.

The 59th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be hosted by James Corden, who will host the ceremony for the first time.

Gaga and her latest album were not nominated for any category for this year’s Grammy’s as she wasn’t eligible for any award. While many thought, it was a huge act of snub, it wasn’t entirely the case.

According to the rules, to be up for nomination, albums must be released between October 1, 2015 and September 20, 2016, to which she obviously missed. Hence, Adele’s “25” was nominated for this year’s awards.

The 30-year-old singer’s 13-minute performance of her medley during the halftime show of Super Bowl 51 was dubbed as the second most-watched halftime show of all time, next to Katy Perry’s halftime show in 2015.

She performed some of her hits such as “Poker Face,” “Just Dance,” “Bad Romance,” and “Million Reasons.”

The performance featured a coordinated swarm of hundreds of lighted drones that formed various shapes in the sky above Houston’s NRG Stadium. It was the first time robotic aircraft used in a Super Bowl program

Her halftime show garnered 117.5 million viewers, exceeding the game’s total of 113.3 million viewers. It was also the most viewed performance across various social media platforms during its airing.

According to Neilsen Music, Gaga sold about 150,000 digital albums and songs in the US alone after her Super Bowl 51 performance. Sales of her previous albums also skyrocketed, hitting more than 23,000 downloads.

The Daily Mail of UK adds that her record sales also grossed instantly in the United Kingdom as well after her groundbreaking performance.

However, many have attacked the singer’s ‘pot belly’ during her performance of “Bad Romance.” In an Instagram post, the “American Horror Story” actress says that she’s proud of her looks and everyone should be of theirs too.

She also encouraged everyone that just like her Super Bowl 51 performance to stop the hate and allow love to spread within everyone. She called on her attackers that they should not waste time nitpicking others and thanked her fans for the love and support.

Her post comes after the singer was bashed on social media that her stomach ‘wasn’t fit enough.’ Fans of Gaga have also clapped back on haters defending their idol.

To further promote her album, she recently released a new music video for her song “John Wayne” exclusively on Apple Music.

Gaga teased on social media that the music video for the single is out, surprising many fans. The video is full of the singer’s signature dance moves with a few elements of country in the mix.

The song was inspired by a famous country-western actor named John Wayne and is an ode to country music, the Daily Mail reports.

Gaga first performed the song during her stint at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris back in December, as well as part of her set list during her Dive Bar mini tour last year.
