The team behind Metal Gear Survive is the Metal Gear Solid 5 team. The original team got together to work on the spin-off, but without Hideo Kojima. Hideo Kojima had announced that he would be retiring from game development.
Many found his ideas sexist, but they couldn’t help but praise his work. He has created mission after mission and the gaming fraternity considers him to be a genius. In his absence, there is a lot of expectations from the team working on Metal Gear Survive.
Metal Gear Survive is scheduled to release sometime in 2017. There hasn’t been an official confirmation on the release date. Konami has hinted that the upcoming game won’t exceed $60. Fans aren’t very pleased with this news since Ground Zeroes was priced at only $30.
The game isn’t being full priced, as in the case of Phantom Pain’s first installment, Ground Zero. The main reason for this move is to get a larger number of players to try out the game. However, avid fans of Metal Gear Solid aren’t happy with the change that Konami is bringing in. The spin-off doesn’t interest the serious players.
