Kingdom Hearts 3 to Focus on the Lost Keyblade Masters Which May Tie into Mickey and Riku’s Quest!

Most of the previous rumors and speculations about the crossover role-playing game “Kingdom Hearts 3” focused on its release date and the Disney worlds that shall be integrated into the game.

Of late, however, the rumors going around the internet is more about the plotline or the story arc of the game.

Based on the trailer released by game developer Square Enix at the D23 Expo held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles, California in August, “Kingdom Hearts 3” shall likely focus on the lost keyblade masters mentioned in ancient texts, reports Design & Trend.

The plot is likely to tie into Mickey and Riku’s current quest to locate the item that has the ability to battle the darkness. The story will also dwell on the origin of the man’s keyblade.

The main villain of the “Kingdom Hearts” video game series, Xenahort, will also play a role in the third installment of the game. Because of Xenahort, gamers should expect a massive battle with the evil nemesis of the game towards the end.

There are reports that in order for gamers to fully understand the game, it shall come up with a recap in the closing credits including the identities of the seven lights and 13 darkness mentioned in “Kingdom Hearts 3D.”

More importantly, it shall also explain what Kingdom Hearts is and why it is so important, which is consistent with the rumors that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will be the final game of the series.

A gameplay stage from ‘Kingdom Hearts X’

There are also rumors going around that “Kingdom Hearts 3” shall have a gameplay stage based on the mobile version of the game called “Kingdom Hearts X.”

Reports have it that the Daybreak Town stage in “Kingdom Hearts X” is being considered by Square Enix for possible inclusion to “Kingdom Hearts 3,” details the Latin Times.

Daybreak Town is a world that serves as a hub for the player of “Kingdom Hearts X.” The town is similar in appearance to Radiant Garden and Traverse Town.

“Kingdom Hearts X,” on the other hand, is a prequel to the entire “Kingdom Hearts” video game series and takes place before the Keyblade War. Players assume the role of a Keyblade wielder who joins one of five factions led by Keyblade Masters fighting for control of the limited Light existing in the world.

The plot is connected to “Kingdom Hearts 3” which is why it is easy for Square Enix to integrate the Daybreak Town stage in the upcoming video game.

‘Toy Story’ world in the game

When Square Enix unraveled the gameplay trailer of “Kingdom Hearts 3” during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015, it was clear that the Disney-themed worlds that protagonist Sora will go into with pals Donald Duck and Goofy are that of Rapunzel’s “Tangled” and “Hercules.”

Gamers thought that Square Enix already settled for the two Disney-themed worlds for “Kingdom Hearts 3.” They were wrong as the game developer pulled a surprise and made the announcement during the D23 Expo.

Through a concept art, Square Enix showed that the world of “Big Hero 6” will also be integrated into “Kingdom Hearts 3” as Sora is shown riding an armored Baymax with his Keyblade extended out toward what looks like a dark Baymax.

Astute gamers and “Big Hero 6” fans, later on, explained that the dark Baymax is the one who was left in the portal when Hiro and his team tried to rescue the professor’s daughter from Yonkai. While the Baymax who is giving a ride to Sora is the new Baymax that Hiro developed using the original chip.

However, based on latest reports, it looks like the game would have another Disney-themed world coming along. Square Enix recently released a screenshot from the game, which shows Sora, Goofy and Donald Duck in a new world.

The threesome is on board a ride that resembles Buzz Lightyear’s Astroblasters in Disneyland, which could be a hint that “Toy Story” is being considered for integration to “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
